Aug. 27 23

The day was very hot, dry, and mostly clear. The sky looked to be mostly clear, during the morning and afternoon. The sky looked to be partly cloudy, during the early evening and mostly cloudy, during the late evening and night. It felt very warm, during the early morning and night. It felt hot, during the mid-morning. It felt very hot, during the late morning. It felt unbearably extremely hot, during the afternoon and early evening. The wind speeds looked to be light with moderate an d moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, early evening, and night with strong 20 + mph winds from storms trying to make it in to the Houston, TX area, during the late evening. A huge cluster of light to moderate and moderately heavy showers and thunderstorms headed south towards the Houston, TX area, during the late evening. Bringing light to moderate and moderately heavy rain into some areas in and around Houston, TX. I only saw a very light drizzle and strong 20 + mph wind gusts as I was pet sitting in the neighborhood, during the late evening. That was all. The rain fizzled out as it approached Houston. I am assuming from the bad drought conditions and lack of moisture we have been getting.

Thoughts: Fun seeing the wind. Wish we could have gotten some rain.

Locations: Montrose, Copperfield, Northwest, and West Houston, TX.
