The day was very hot, partly cloudy, and mostly dry. The sky looked to be partly cloudy, during the morning, afternoon, and early evening. It felt very warm, during the early morning. It felt hot, during the mid-morning. It felt very hot, during the late morning, afternoon, and early evening. It felt warm, during the late evening, and night. The wind speeds looked to be light with maybe some moderate to moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. Light to moderate and moderately heavy to possibly heavy Scattered showers and thunderstorms passed through parts of the Houston, TX area, during the afternoon, evening, and early night. I witnessed a few low rumbles of thunder and lightning strikes on my way to Katy, during the evening and early night.
Thoughts: I was really happy to see a good old summer rain!!! Hoping to see some more soon.
