The day was cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thunderstorms. One of the thunderstorms that I witnessed at work in north Houston had moderately heavy to heavy rainfall. The first time that I have seen a storm or rain like that since probably early May. No flooding or severe storms reported that I am aware of. Just some huge to small puddles here and there. And everything was wet. At least these past few days of rain have certainly quenched the severe drought a little. Next month looks to be just as dry. So we will see. Tomorrow the Houston, TX area still has a good chance for rain.
