The day started out cool and cloudy with some possible light rain or drizzle on occasion throughout the morning and afternoon. A band of moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms began to pass through the Houston, TX area during the early evening and was on going through the rest of the night. I heard a few very low rumbles of thunder and saw a few lightning flashes through evening and on through the night.
