The day was mostly cloudy, wet, and warm. A line of showers and thunderstorms passed through the Houston, TX area, during the late morning, afternoon, and maybe early evening. I witnessed some brief heavy rain and on and off brief sprinkles during the morning. And I heard one distant low rumble of thunder sometime during the early afternoon. I believe. I did not see any lightning. No damage or flooding. Just wet roads and puddles throughout the rest of the afternoon, evening, and night. The drought map is still the same but I think it is going to get much better with all this rain.
