May. 16 24

The day was mostly cloudy, wet, and warm. I believe the sky looked to be mostly cloudy, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It felt warm, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. The wind speeds were light with moderate and moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, and night. The wind speeds were strong with 50 mph + gusts, during the derecho that passed through the Houston, TX area, during the evening. The day was mostly normal with little to no light shower activity until during the evening when a line of heavy thunderstorms passed through the Houston, TX area producing multiple power outages and damage from at least two tornados and 50 to 100 mph wind gusts. The house that I live in lost power and one of the lights outside of our garage. There were trees and power lines down everywhere.

Thoughts: This was the most dramatic storm that I have ever been in the Houston, TX area. Outside of a tropical storm or hurricane. We were all not prepared for this.

May. 15 24

The day was partly cloudy, hot, and dry. The sky looked to be clear, or mostly clear, during the early and mid-morning. The sky looked to have become partly cloudy, sometime during the late morning or early afternoon and stayed partly cloudy through the late afternoon. The sky looked to have become mostly cloudy, during the late, or possibly early evening and looked to have stayed mostly cloudy through the night. The wind speeds looked to be light with moderate and moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. There did not look to be any chances for rain during the day for the Houston, TX area. There was a 30 to 40 percent chance for rain during the night. I don’t remember seeing any rain on the Houston, TX radar, during the day. Maybe possibly a stray light shower or so. There looked to be some isolated moderate to moderately heavy showers and thundershowers West and North of the Houston, TX area, during the evening and night. I did not witness any rain drops where I was in the Houston, TX area, during the day, or night.

Thoughts: Not much going on wet weather wise. Will see if Thursday we get more wet weather.

May. 13 24

The day was mostly cloudy, wet, and warm. The sky looked to be mostly cloudy, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It felt warm, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. The wind speeds looked to be light with moderate and moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. There was a 70 to 100 percent chance for rain for the Houston, TX area, during the day and a possible 10 to 30 percent chance for rain during the night. A cluster or wave of moderate thundershowers and heavy thunderstorms passed through the Houston, TX area, during the during the afternoon and early evening. Dissipating by the late evening. I witnessed on and off moderate thunder showers, during the afternoon and early evening. And a heavy thunderstorm or two during the afternoon.

Thoughts: Really enjoyed seeing all the rain. It is getting pretty wet out there. Mosquitos are getting bad.
