Jul. 2 23

The day was partly cloudy, dry, and hot. The sky looked to be partly cloudy, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It felt warm, during the early morning and night. It felt very warm, during the mid-morning and late evening. It felt hot, during the late morning, afternoon, and early evening. The wind speeds looked to be light with moderate gusts and occasional moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. A line of moderate to moderately heavy showers and thunderstorms formed southwest and southeast of the Houston, TX area, sometime during the afternoon and traveled north through the evening. Bringing moderately heavy to heavy rain in some areas, while missing others, during the late afternoon and evening. I witnessed a brief light sprinkle, sometime during the morning, evening, and maybe afternoon. I thought I heard a low rumble of thunder in the distance, sometime during the early afternoon. I witnessed some moderately strong wind gusts and low rumbles of thunder from the line of thunderstorms that passed by, but no lightning or any rain other than a brief sprinkle. In the Cypress area, during the evening.

Locations: Cypress, TX, Heights, Copperfield, White Oak, Pleasant Grove, Huffmeister, Northwest and West Houston, TX.
