Jul. 24 23

The day was partly cloudy, mostly dry, and very hot. The sky looked to be partly cloudy, during the morning, afternoon, and evening. The sky looked to have become clear, or mostly clear, during the night. The wind speeds looked to be light with moderate gusts and some possible occasional moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It felt warm, during the early morning, late evening, and night. It felt very warm, during the mid-morning. It felt hot, during the late morning and early evening. It felt very hot, during the afternoon. There looked to be some isolated light to moderate with some moderately heavy showers and thunder showers just to the South and North of the Houston, TX area, during the morning and afternoon. Two isolated severe thunderstorms formed and passed over the Northwestern area of Houston, TX and parts of Eastern Cypress, TX, during the evening. I witnessed a cloud to ground lightning strike and a few low rumbles of thunder with brief light sprinkles and moderate rain on my way down 290 towards Cypress, TX to see go see the last Indiana Jones movie with a friend, during the late evening. The severe thunderstorm had mostly just passed and the freeway and roads were still pretty slick. It was great to see some rain. But I really wished I could have been there for the whole storm.

Locations: Cypress, TX, Skinner, Copperfield, 4th Ward, Downtown, Northwest, and West Houston, TX.
