The day was mostly cloudy, mostly dry, windy, and warm. The sky looked to be mostly cloudy during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It felt cool during the early morning and night. It felt a little cool during the mid and late morning and evening. It felt warm during the afternoon. The wind speeds looked to be light with moderate and moderately strong gusts with some occasional strong 20 mph gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. There was a 40 to 70 percent chance for rain for Houston, TX area, during the day. There was a 20 to 40 percent chance for rain during the night. Scattered light to moderate and moderately heavy showers with possibly a thunderstorm or two passed through the Houston, TX area during the morning and through the early afternoon with possibly an isolated light shower during the rest of the afternoon, evening, and night. A small line of showers and thunderstorms did try to pass through the Houston, TX area during the early night but fizzled out before it got to Houston, TX, just West of Houston, TX. I witnessed light to moderate and moderately heavy showers, were I was in the Houston, TX area, during the morning and possibly the beginning of the early afternoon.

Thoughts: A lot warmer and drier day than I was expecting.
