The day was mostly cloudy, wet, and warm. The sky looked to be mostly cloudy, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It felt warm, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. The wind speeds looked to be light with some possible occasional moderate and moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. There was a 20 to 80 percent chance for rain for the Houston, TX area, during the day and a 40 to 60 percent chance for rain, during the night. There were isolated to scattered light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy showers and thunderstorms, during the morning, afternoon, and evening. With some possible isolated showers and thunderstorms during the night. A heavy thunderstorm passed over where I work in the Montrose area, during the late afternoon and early evening. Bringing heavy rain and some cloud to ground lightning strikes.
Thoughts: Have not seen a thunderstorm like that in a good while. At least in a couple of months or so. Was fun to see. The heavy rain makes you feel like you are surrounded by water.
Locations: Spring Green, Hockley, TX, Montrose, Willowbrook, Norrhwest, and West Houston, TX.
