The day was cloudy, very cool, and wet. The sky looked to be cloudy, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It felt very cold, during the early and mid-morning in the San Antonio and Austin, TX area. It felt cold, during the late morning in the Yorktown, TX area. It felt very cool in the Yorktown and Victoria, TX area, during the afternoon. It felt cold in the Yorktown, TX area, during the evening. It felt very cold in the Yorktown, TX area, during the early night. It felt very cool on our way back to Houston, TX, during the early and late night and it felt cool once we got in the Katy and Houston, TX area, during the late night. The wind speeds were light with moderate and moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. There was forecasted light rain throughout the Central and Southeastern Texas area, during the day and night. With a 20 percent chance for freezing rain and drizzle in the San Antonio and Austin, TX area, during the morning and early afternoon. I did not see any freezing rain or sleet while traveling through San Antonio and Austin, TX during the early and mid-morning. That I saw or know of. There was on and off light drizzle and rain while traveling through Central and Southeast, TX, during the morning snd afternoon. There was more on and off light drizzle and rain in the Yorktown, TX area, during the evening and early night. With some more possible drizzle in and on our way to the Katy and Houston, TX area, during the early and late night.
Thoughts: Would have been cool to see some more freezing rain or sleet. The morning was too cold to get out of the car. Interesting walking through an abandoned hospital during the rain.
