Jan. 8 24

The day was cool, wet, and cloudy. The sky looked to be cloudy to mostly cloudy, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It felt cold during the early morning and night. It felt very cool during the mid-morning and evening. It felt cool, during the late morning and afternoon. The wind speeds were light with moderate and moderately strong wind gusts, with some possible strong wind gusts of over 20 mph, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. There were scattered light to moderate and moderately heavy showers and a few thunderstorms or showers in and around the Houston, TX area, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. With the most showers and thunderstorms happening during the late afternoon, evening, and night. I witnessed brief moderate pellet sized hail on my way to my uncle’s house, during the early night and occasional low rumbles of thunder and lightning strikes in the clouds. There were also a few tree limbs that fell on to the parking lot of the place that I work at in the Montrose area, from the showers and wind.

Thoughts: A pretty interesting day of weather for the Houston, TX area. Have not seen hail like that in a while. Basically felt like I was driving through an ice storm!

Locations: Skinner Road, Cypress, TX, Copperfield, Montrose, Autumn Oaks, Northwest, and West Houston, TX.
