The day was partly cloudy, very hot, and dry. The sky looked to be partly cloudy, during the mid-morning, afternoon, and evening. The sky looked to be clear, or mostly clear during the early morning and night. It felt warm, during the early morning and night. It felt very warm, during the mid-morning. It felt hot, during the late morning and late evening. It felt very hot, during the afternoon and early evening. The wind speeds looked to be light with possibly some moderate and moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. There looked to be one isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm just southwest of the Houston, TX area, during the afternoon through the evening that I saw on the radar and from where I was in Katy, TX. There was a 20 percent chance for rain for the Houston, TX area, during the day. I did not personally witness any rain drops. I just saw the clouds from the one isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm. I did not see any lightning strikes or hear any rumbles of thunder.
Thoughts: So close to seeing some rain. Glad to see that some areas affected by the drought are still getting decent rain.
Locations: Katy Mills Mall, Wrangler Sky, Katy, TX, Copperfield, Lakes on Eldridge, Northwest, and West Houston, TX.
