Sep. 5 23

The day was partly cloudy, dry, and hot. The sky looked to be mostly clear, during the early morning and night. The sky looked to have become partly cloudy, during the mid-morning and remained partly cloudy through the late evening. It felt very warm, during the early and mid-morning, late evening, and night. It felt hot, during the late morning, afternoon, and early evening. The wind speeds were light with moderate to moderately strong gusts, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. There was a 50 percent chance for rain for the Houston, TX area. Isolated light to moderate showers with moderately heavy to heavy thunderstorms stayed mostly in the Northeast side of Houston, TX, during the afternoon and evening bringing some flash flooding in some areas. The clouds looked dark throughout the afternoon and evening where I was working in the Monstrose area. But we did not get much rain other than a brief light shower, during the early afternoon. That was the only rain that I witnessed.

Thoughts: Glad to see that Houston is getting some rain. Even enough to flood some areas. Wish I could have personally seen more than just a shower but maybe soon I will.

Locations: Gap Road, Katy, TX, 4th Ward, Downtown, Monstrose, Copperfield, Northwest, and West Houston, TX.
