Big to small, bright white, thick, flat, low stratus clouds looked to cover most of the sky in west Houston, TX during the mid and late morning, afternoon, evening, and early night. Big to small, bright white, thick, flat, low, or maybe high stratus clouds looked to cover most of the sky in northwest Houston, TX during the early night. The wind speeds looked to be calm in northwest and west Houston, TX during the early morning. The wind speeds looked to be relatively calm with moderate and moderately strong gusts in west Houston, TX during the mid-morning. The wind speeds looked to be calm with maybe some moderate to moderately strong gusts in west Houston, TX during the late morning, afternoon, evening, and early night. The wind speeds looked to be calm with maybe some moderate to moderately strong gusts in northwest Houston, TX during the early night. It felt warm in northwest and west Houston, TX during the early morning. It felt warm in west Houston, TX during the mid and late morning, afternoon, and evening. There looked to be a few light to moderate showers scattered around Houston, TX, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. Mostly in the southeast to southwest areas. A moderate shower looked to have passed over my house in northwest Houston, TX during the early morning, before sunrise. Light drizzle was falling while I was on my way to work in west Houston, TX, from northwest Houston, TX. I didn't see any rain after that. There was a dense fog advisory issued for tomorrow morning.

Thoughts: I saw some not so expected rain this morning. It was a warm day, as usual for Houston, TX during anytime of the year.

WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST FRIDAY. * VISIBILITY... A COOL AND VERY MOIST AND HUMID AIRMASS OVER THE NEARSHORE WATERS WILL GRADUALLY SPREAD INLAND TONIGHT AS A WARM FRONT DRIFTS NORTH ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS AND INLAND. THIS WILL LEAD TO WIDESPREAD FOG ACROSS THE NEARSHORE WATERS GRADUALLY EXPANDING INTO THE BAYS THIS EVENING. VISIBILITIES MAY RANGE FROM 3 MILES DOWN TO LESS THAN 1/4 MILE OVER THE NEARSHORE WATERS AND THE FOG SHOULD THICKEN WITH VISIBILITIES LOWERING OVER A LARGER AREA AND ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE BAYS TONIGHT. BY MIDNIGHT VISIBILITY MAY BE LIMITED TO LESS THAN 1/2 MILE ACROSS THE BAYS AND EXTENDING BEYOND 10 NM OFFSHORE. VISIBILITY SHOULD GRADUALLY IMPROVE BETWEEN 6 AM AND 9 AM BUT THE BAYS COULD BE SLOWER TO IMPROVE. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... MARINERS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN CHANGES IN VISIBILITY OVER SHORT DISTANCES. REDUCE YOUR SPEED AND KEEP A LOOKOUT FOR OTHER VESSELS... BUOYS AND BREAKWATERS. KEEP YOUR NAVIGATION LIGHTS ON.
