Northwest Houston, TX, during the early evening.

Summary: Some rain during the early and mid-morning. Small lines of light to moderate showers and light to heavy thunderstorms passed over the Houston, TX area. A moderate shower, or maybe thunderstorm looked to have passed over my house during the early morning. I thought I might have heard a distant rumble of thunder during the early morning, but wasn't sure. The sky started out cloudy during the early morning, then became mostly clear with only a few small stratus clouds, during the mid-morning. There looked to be more small stratus clouds during the mid to late afternoon and maybe evening. I think the sky looked to be clear during the night. The wind speeds were calm with moderate to moderately strong wind gusts, and maybe some really gusts during the early morning. The wind speeds looked to be calm during the night. There was no storm damage, or flooding reported. The power looked to have gone out at my house sometime during the day, but am not sure if that was weather related. There was a air quality alert issued for the Houston, TX area, for Saturday May 13, 2017. There were no other watches, warnings, advisories. alerts, or weather statements issued for the Houston, TX area, that I know of. It felt warm during the morning, evening and night. It felt very warm, almost hot during the afternoon. I think the low temps were in the 60's and the high temps were in the 80's, for the Houston, TX area.

Locations: Northwest and west Houston, TX.

Thoughts: Not seeing that much rain lately, so am hoping to see more. I am excited to see the high temps starting to get into the 80's and 90's. Perfect pool weather!
