There were tornado warnings, watches, and some severe weather advisories issued for the Houston, TX area during the morning and early afternoon.


Summary: It was a wet, mostly cloudy, and cool day. A huge line of really heavy thunderstorms surrounded by light to moderate showers passed through the Houston, TX area during the morning and afternoon. Light to moderate rain was falling periodically with some loud rumbles of thunder and bright flashes of lightning, on my way to work from northwest Houston, TX to west Houston, TX, during the early morning. Light to really heavy rain fell in west Houston, TX, where I work at, during the mid and late morning. The rain looked to have stopped falling sometime during the early afternoon. There were reports of tornadoes and damages, but I didn't hear about any flooding reports.


Thoughts: I didn't expect there to be any tornadoes, but apparently there were some. It felt a lot cooler than I thought it would feel. I am looking forward to some warmer temps and maybe some more rain.
