Summary: The day was warm, cloudy, and wet. A few lines of moderately heavy to heavy thunderstorms passed through the Houston, TX area, during the morning and early and mid-afternoon. There still looked to be a few light to moderate isolated showers and maybe a few thunderstorms in and around the Houston, TX area, during the late afternoon, evening, and maybe night. I saw a few light drizzles and a moderate shower, during the mid and late morning and then a couple, or maybe a few moderately heavy to heavy thunderstorms, during the early and maybe mid-afternoon, where I work in northwest Houston, TX, near Beltway 8 and I-10. Stratus, stratocumulus, and nimbus clouds looked to cover the whole and sometimes most of the sky, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and maybe night. The wind speeds looked to be calm with maybe some gentle to moderate gusts. It felt warm, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. There was a Flash Flood Advisory issued for the Houston, TX area, along with many other flash flood watches/advisories, etc, during the early and maybe mid-afternoon and maybe morning.  There was also a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued for the Houston, TX area, by NOAA. There were no other watches, warnings, alerts, advisories, or weather statements/outlooks issued for the Houston, TX area, that I know of. The low temps looked to be in the 70's and the high temps looked to be in the 80's with maybe a few 90's, for the Houston, TX area.


Storm Summary: There looked to be reports of flooding in and around the Houston, TX area. There were no reports of storm damage, that I know of.


My Storm Summary: I didn't witness any flooding, just some big puddles in ditches, parking lots, and backyards. I didn't see any storm damage, that I know of. A traffic light near my house was out and some construction signs looked to have been knocked over, but I don't know if that was storm related, or not. The power to my house didn't go out. I heard some loud rumbles of thunder and saw some big flashes of lightning, some possible cloud-to- ground. From the thunderstorms that passed over where I work, during the early and maybe mid-afternoon.

Thoughts: I saw lots of rain today. That was fun!

today. Some of these thunderstorms will be capable of brief heavy
downpours. Localized street flooding is possible with the heaviest
downpours.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected across
Southeast Texas Tuesday. Some of these thunderstorms may be
capable of brief heavy rainfall.
