Sep. 18 20

The sky looked to be mostly clear with only a few alto stratus clouds, at my house in northwest Houston, TX and the Heights, during the morning. Alto stratus with maybe some mid to low stratus clouds, looked to cover most of the sky, where I was at work and at my older sisters house in the Heights area, during the afternoon, evening, and maybe night. The day was hot. No rain. There was a 10 to 20 percent chance for rain I believe. The wind speeds were pretty gusty and cool. Not sure if from cool front, high pressure, or Tropical Storm Beta. Tropical Storm watches were issued for Inland Houston, TX areas and Hurricane Watches were issued for coastal Houston, TX areas, by the National Hurricane Center sometime during the night.

Thoughts:

The tropics just do not want to leave Texas alone this year. Beta looks to be the most likely to impact Houston the most out of Laura and Hanna.
