The day was mostly covered to maybe sometimes fully covered in low white to grey stratus clouds, at my house in northwest Houston, TX, where I was, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. Two to maybe three thunderstorms with moderate to moderately heavy rain rolled in and around my house in northwest Houston, TX at around 5 pm and continued on through 7 pm before ending around 8 pm. I still heard some possible rumbles of thunder and light rain falling at my bedrooms window from 8 to 10 pm. The day was warm.

000 FXUS64 KHGX 060425 AFDHGX Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX 1125 PM CDT Sat Sep 5 2020 .AVIATION... VFR conditions should persist overnight, though can`t totally rule out some patchy shallow ground fog outside metro locations where ground might be wet. Will go ahead and throw in some VCSH`s in the next set of TAFs for the Sunday 20-24z time period when hires guidance points toward some sct precip development. More favorable locations appear to be west of I-45 and south of I-10 in association with a weak seabreeze. But as we`ve seen the past several days, things can become outflow dominated so can`t really rule out and particular location dependent on small scale details that can`t be resolved this far out. Regardless, things should taper back down after sunset with the loss of heating. 47 && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
