Northwest Houston, TX, during the early evening.

Summary: The day was warm, mostly wet, and mostly cloudy. Isolated light to heavy showers and thunderstorms started to appear in and around the Houston, TX area, during the morning and then spread and covered the whole, or most of the Houston, TX area, during the early afternoon, through the early evening. There still looked to be a few light showers and maybe a few moderately heavy to heavy thunderstorms, in and around the Houston, TX area, during the late evening and night. I started to see some light to heavy showers and thunderstorms, during the early afternoon and stopped seeing them, sometime during the early, or maybe late evening. Alto stratus and stratus clouds looked to cover most of the sky, during the early and mid-morning. Stratus and stratocumulus clouds with maybe some nimbus clouds, looked to cover most of the sky and maybe sometimes the whole sky (especially during the afternoon.) during the late morning, afternoon, evening, and maybe night. The wind speeds looked to be calm with maybe some gentle to moderate gusts. It felt warm, during the early and mid-morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It felt very warm, during the late morning. There were a few Flood Advisories issued for different areas in and around the Houston, TX area, during the early afternoon. There was also a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by NOAA, for the Houston, TX area. There were no other watches, warnings, alerts, advisories, or weather statements/outlooks issued for the Houston, TX  area, that I know of. The Flood Advisories only looked to be during the early afternoon, but there might have been some during the mid and late afternoon, and evening. The low temps looked to be in the 70's and the high temps looked to be in the 90's with a few 80's, or maybe 80's with a few 90's, for the Houston, TX area.

Storm Summary: The showers and thunderstorms looked to have left the Houston, TX area with lots of flooding problems. I didn't hear about, or see any storm damages.

My Storm Summary: I heard a few rumbles of thunder and saw off and on light to moderately heavy rain with some heavy rain, during the afternoon and evening. I didn't see any lightning. The thunder wasn't very loud and sounded distant. I saw some huge water puddles on the parking lot, at work, and on the roads on my way home from work. I didn't see any storm damage.

Locations: Northwest Houston, TX.

Thoughts: I was happy to see the rain today. I haven't seen that much rain in awhile!
