Summary: The day was mostly cloudy, partly wet, and warm. Isolated to scattered moderately heavy to really heavy showers and thunderstorms passed through the Houston, TX area, during the afternoon, evening, and maybe night. A really heavy thunderstorm passed through where I work, during the mid and late afternoon. I didn't see, feel, or hear anymore rain drops after that. Alto stratus, stratus and stratocumulus clouds looked to cover most of the sky, during the morning, afternoon, evening, and maybe night. The wind speeds looked to be calm with gentle to moderate gusts with some moderately strong to possibly really strong (20 mph) gusts. It felt warm, during the early morning, mid and late afternoon, evening, and night. It felt very warm, during the mid-morning. It felt hot, during the late morning and early afternoon. There was a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued for the Houston, TX area, by NOAA. There were no other watches, warnings, alerts, advisories, or weather statements/outlooks issued for the Houston, TX area, that I know of. The low temps looked to be in the 70's and the high temps looked to be in the 80's with maybe some 90's, for the Houston, TX area.


Houston, TX Storm Summary: Isolated to scattered moderately heavy to really heavy showers and thunderstorms passed through the Houston, TX, during the afternoon, evening, and maybe night. Some flash flooding looked to have occurred in the areas of Houston, TX that got the isolated showers and thunderstorms. I didn't hear anything about any storm damages.


My Storm Summary: Moderately heavy rain turned quickly into really heavy rain, where I work in northwest Houston, TX, during the mid and late afternoon. Huge puddles and flash flooding occurred. I didn't see, feel, or hear anymore rain drops, after that. I heard some deep rumbles of thunder. I didn't see any storm damage.

Thoughts: Houston, TX has been getting some pretty intense rain lately. I am worried about Houston, TX's drainage systems.
